Brush fires in Sicily are a fixture of summertime. The extreme heat and dried foliage are prime fodder for random fires to start whenever someone simply flicks their cigarette out of a driving car. This fire in the mountains around Graniti was raging all day long and well into the night. Once the sun went down, I raced up the mountain to witness and try to capture the moment.
